2012: the year the Mayan calendar ends. End of the world? NO! It was merely a countdown to Aistha's Kiss world domination! And to kick off the year right we are tearing the roof off of the Roxy Theater - literally. 

Our first show of 2012 will be presented by Hollowbody LA on Jan 14th at On the Rox; the upstairs lounge of the Roxy. And to do it right, we will be playing over an hour of our music and a bunch of our favorite cover tunes as well. We go on at midnight and will play until last call!

So after your other plans have been completed and the curtain falls on the other shows in town, come by On the Rox to end the night with us! Its $10 at the door, but we can get you in for $8 if you contact us prior.

The Mayans knew it would happen, now you can come get in the know as well. A long set from Aistha's Kiss on Sunset Blvd to finish out a killer Saturday night...thats how you begin the last year of the Mayan calendar!

Autumn, apps, and Aistha's Kiss

Hello kindred,

Well summer is officially over. What did you get up to during the last few months? Any good festivals? Moments? Summer love affairs? Tell us about them.

We did get to the Epicenter festival this year. Crossfade, Everlast, Buckcherry, Staind, and Limp Bizkit just to name a few. Was an epic show!

We are talking to studios and preparing to do some full quality recordings. So get your free demo tracks while you can. More to come on that.

While summer may be over, we are busy playing shows all over the southland. We had a great 3 hour show at the Buffalo Inn in Upland last weekend. Tonight we return to the world famous Rainbow Bar and Grill in Hollywood. And Saturday we are playing an outdoor festival with several other great rock bands featuring everyone's favorite two words: FREE BEER!! It's been a while since we posted, so I wanted to write a brief note to fill you in on the latest happenings with Aistha's Kiss.

We are hard at work writing new material in preparation for entering the studio soon. We will be re-recording our current tunes, adding new ones, and creating our first album. So get those free demo versions while you can! AKkiss.com

Summertime!!!

Well summer is finally upon us! That means BBQs, pool parties, and of course live music EVERYwhere. We had our first taste at the Cat Club Rock and Roll BBQ Block Party on memorial day weekend. It was a blast! Pics are up on our facebook page, and we got a ton of video that we will posting soon too.

Shows around the corner

This weekend we have 2 shows, including a special performace at the Viper Room in Hollywood on Sunday evening. The show is free  (just say our name at the door) plus everyone that comes to see us gets a free gift. Free swag and a free show? Can't beat that. Come on out!

We also have a show on Saturday at Mission Tobacco Lounge in Riverside. Be sure to check our page for the latest schedule information. As of this writing we have 7 shows on the books for summer, with more on the way!

There is a rumor that we may be doing a small Vegas tour this summer as well! We will keep you posted on those details as they come in. :D

AKA

This summer we have several AKA (Aistha's Kiss Acoustic) events going on as well. We will have a booth at the Riverside Farmer's Market on June 26th showing examples of our Style line of clothing and jammin out some acoustic AK songs and covers. In the same vein we will also have a booth at the Majestical Roof in Pasadena for their open air Alternative Art Market on July 30th, and we will do an acoustic set that afternoon. Have you been wondering about AKA and / or our line of Style goods? Come check out one of these booths.

And July 21st we will be opening the evening at the Riverside Movies on Main event. This is a FREE all ages family event ending with an outdoor movie on the promenade: "Despicable Me". We will be playing acoustic music from 7 to 7:45, and the movie will begin around 8:15. Come on out for a night with the whole family!

Our first blogger blog!

Greetings Aistha kindred. 


Well, with the ever-growing collapse of MySpace, we have branched out to blogging in a more secure environment. So welcome to our new blog. :) As this is the first, we will start with a full collection of recent updates on the band. But stay tuned for news and show updates, free or discount music and merch, as well as random writings and musings about other topics as we go. :D

We are going into the studio to record our debut EP, but you can get early versions of the tracks now - free for the taking. Back to Life is our first featured download. The Hollywood Frontier
We decided that 2011 would be our year. That we would venture out and get better shows and bigger events and start looking toward Hollywood. Well, New Years Day we talked to a promoter who loves our material and booked us Jan 3rd at the Viper Room. The show was amazing! (pics of the show here) We got a lot of positive reviews and the promoter has asked us back and is working with us extensively now. 


If you are in the L.A. area you should come check out our next show at the Viper Room on Jan 31st. Cover is $15 but if you send us a message (that goes for non-L.A. fans as well) we will hook you up with tickets worth $5 off. Just for being a fan! :)  We will be sharing the stage with our new friends Mulholland - another great rock band. We will be giving out some merch from the stage as well. RSVP to the facebook event and add your friends. It's gonna be a great show! Extend your weekend one more day and come rock with us!


Still rockin the I.E.
Dont worry, I.E. fans - we are still moving ahead in this area as well. We have a show booked at Angel's Corona on Jan 28th, with more to come. We are also looking at targeting other venues such as MTL, Angel's Roadhouse and more. If you know of a good venue anywhere that would fit our style, let us know! We want to play everywhere this year!!


Style Store
Our online Style Store is open for business. If you didn't know: Aistha's Kiss has our own line of rock clothing - custom made by us! From modern, one-of-a-kind clothing to distinct, hand-crafted jewelry and accessories; Aistha's Kiss has something for everyone.

Every item made by Aistha's Kiss is designed and created by hand here in our studios. You will find our clothing and accessory lines at Hollywood boutiques, various online stores, and sales booths at various local events and shows. You may even find the band members doing an acoustic set at a sales booth to promote the clothing and the music.

A.K.A.
AKA continues to be a fun and successful venture. We did a set of AKA at Angels, and the crowd really had fun with it. In December AKA played a private corporate Christmas party as well. And Feb 27th we will do an AKA show at the farmers market where we will also have a booth for the Style Store. Keep your eye out for more AKA shows in the future.

If you don't know about AKA:

With the success of our Summer Session series we tried out this year, we decided to expand the concept with A.K.A. - Aistha's Kiss Acoustic. 

When we aren't tearing up the stage with our full rock show, we will be stripping it down to a more mellow style show. Our originals are re-imagined for acoustic, and some of them even vie for our favorite versions. Beyond that we also play acoustically "Kissed" cover songs. Many of these are re-tooled as well, and include songs from AIC, Godsmack, Alanis Morrisette, and many more. Even Prince and Michael Jackson have a spot, but unlike any version you have heard before.

We will be booking AKA shows throughout SoCal at spots where we wouldn't normally play and can't do the full show such as restaurants, small markets, coffee shops, etc. 
Don't worry though. If full rock is what you after we are full steam ahead there as well. 


Thats the word for this edition. We are SO excited about 2011. Watch for us at the usual showcase venues, and also rocking all night long at various bars around So-Cal. And don't forget to look for an AKA show as well.
